Since the study of phraseology in Latin language is almost terra incognita in the Spanish speaking world (just a few theses in Spain have been published online in last years, no one in Mexico and Latin America), this project will start with the study of the modern German handbooks to define more precisely the field of research. On a second stage, we propose a revision of these materials and present some examples of each phraseological unit, arranged according to modern linguistic criteria, leaving back 19th century classifications. Finally, the didactic aim is to prepare student books containing translation exercises from Spanish into Latin to study the collected phraseological materials.
